Experiencing the Clinical Trials Transformation

Wednesday, February 28, 2018 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Location

Med Sci 1, Room M5330

Details

As one of the medical directors of the Ambulatory & Chronic Disease Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU), Dr. Peter Higgins and his study team were among the first to transition to the new clinical trials support system in early 2017, with a trial of the therapeutic Etrolizumab for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.

What were the hurdles Dr. Higgins and his study team faced-and surmounted-as early adopters of the new clinical trials system? How did the Ambulatory & Chronic Disease CTSU administration team help them work with other offices on campus, such as ORSP and Finance? What's it like using OnCore, the new clinical trials management system, on a daily basis?

You're invited to join the Clinical Trials Support Office as we shine a spotlight on these questions and more, in an event featuring Dr. Higgins and Project Manager Kay Sauder in an engaging "talkshow style" panel discussion moderated by Connie Chang, Managing Director of Fast Forward Medical Innovation.

In addition to the panel discussion, hear the latest news from the Clinical Trials Support Office, including the upcoming transition of Cancer Center trials to the Oncology Clinical Trials Support Unit in late spring 2018 from Anna Lok, Assistant Dean for Clinical Research.

Refreshments Provided.
